When I first watched Vegas I thought McKay had called John's orientation out with that little rant about the "friend" he tried to save ... because the washing machine was on and I thought he said you were involved with him... then when I rewatched it I realized that yet again the SGA writers had no balls and went for the politically correct response. I like your version better! Yipee

Summary: Lorne was royally screwed. Not because he had just found out that his commander has a thing for him and he didn't return his feelings, it was because he did. The only thing that stood in the way was Lorne's integrity, and he wasn't sure he was such an honorable man.

I started reading this on fanfic dot net, but had to switch over because Lorne/Sheppard is one of my fav match ups. (okay - almost anything Sheppard is okay with me, except Zelenka & for some odd reason Weir). Anyway, I'm all about the NC-17. So bring it on!! And whew! You totally reminded me how much I love foot massages!!

I love this story ... but just one tiny nitpik ... there's no way Lorne could jump headfirst into the water. I think you captured the pain he would have felt pretty good, but at that height, he would have surely broken his neck. The coast guard jumps from their helos at 15-20 feet, feet first. I know its scifi ...

Author's Response: The thing was, I didn\'t have any other reference point about water jumps. I don\'t know how it sounded like, but I really don\'t have the first clue about diving or swimming. My only thought was that there were crazy people who jumped into water from really high cliffs and miraculously stayed alive, but I never could remember their names or the places they were at. I\'ll go work on that in a few days, and really thanks for the comment! :)
