Fairyglass has been writing fan-fiction since early 2006 and has almost exclusively stuck with the Stargate franchise. She is a multi-pairing shipper and really, just likes pretty people kissing each other.
While in town to berate the U.N., Rodney McKay is picked up by a strangely familiar man. John Sheppard finds out.

Okay, this was ADORABLE. OCs tend to be mary sue insertion characters, but Ryan here -- he's brilliant! He's an excellent plot device and conveys exactly what needs to be said (and done!).
Set in the 700 years John was in stasis in The Last Man
. Rodney helps John learn how to let go.

Oh. Oh, oh, oh. I came across this completely by random and I am SO GLAD I did.
Now, admittedly, you hit several of my buttons all at once: Rodney slash John, Dom!Rodney & Sub!John, training/teaching themes.... mmmm.
Your attention to detail is delicious and the slow build wonderful. There is realization and then there is acceptance and then there is wanton reveling, all of which is just brilliant!
I admit I was a little thrown by the AI Atlantis. I'm never really a fan of that trope, but since you didn't go overboard with it, it was more of a niggle then a deal breaker.
And I was SO RELEAVED when Real Rodney accepted John in the last chapter. I have absolutely nothing against McKeller, but... yeah. McShep is the SGA ship I sail on. ;}
Thank you so much for this! Adding to my favs and recommending it to several friends!
Author's Response: I\'m glad you liked this. It\'s one of my favorites. \r\n\r\nWhile I believe that the city is more than \'just a city\', I was a bit surprised at the appearance of Sentient!Atlantis myself.

I am just overwhelmed with the sheer wonderfulness of this story! Your details are so rich and well developed, the structure sound and plausible. This could work! This could be it!
I will forever now think of Rodney McKay smelling of lavender.
*geek girl flail of loves!!!*
Author's Response: Aw, thanks! Geek writer flail of gratitude!
