I'm really enjoying catching up on your story catalogue! Beautiful illustration (as usual) to go with a pitch-perfect Sheppardian story of self-denial-as-road-to-redemption. I loved how Rodney was always there with him, even when he physically wasn't.

Summary: Sometimes, when Teyla's jumping him in the indoor arena, he can hear Rodney telling off the other show horses in the paddock on the other side from John's, commenting on how poorly they held themselves or how he can't believe that they're actually permitted to pass on their genes when they're all – obviously – incompetent idiots.
SLIGHT McShep pairing mentioned, but only actually there if you want it to be. Could be considered crack!fic.

Very cute and enjoyable story. I especially love Rodney the grumpy horse. :)
