Summary: Our senses determine how we interact with the world around us.

Great story, though I couldn't help still finding it sad despite John's happiness and the hopeful ending. He's not the team leader anymore, despite the device that lets him see, and that just broke my heart. I know that's not the point of the story, but I would love to read a sequel where John does get his sight back. But I still really enjoyed this, especially how Teyla and Rodney were the only ones who didn't treat John with pity. My favourite scenes, though--aside from the kiss, of course --was Rodney's reaction to the operation, and Kavanagh telling John about his deaf sister. All in all this was fascinating and very moving. Well done.
Author's Response: Leah, your "Balcony Sessions" were one of the things that made me fall for the McShep pairing, so thank you! At the moment, there are no plans for a sequel, but I can easily see Rodney and John exploring Atlantis together where it won't matter that he is dependent on Atlantis' eyes.
Summary: Rodney has a fantasy. Pairing: Rodney/various.

'Wicked' indeed, but also surprisingly intimate and sad. I particularly liked how Rodney is perfectly aware of what his fantasy probably means, on many levels, but that he isn't willing to deal with that part of it, which seems to only add to his feeling of isolation. Fascinating and well done.
Summary: Sometimes the myths get a little turned around.

Oh, wow. Too funny. I loved your cutesey and yet plausible unicorn. The virgin thing was interesting and definitely unexpected, though I'm sure John's virginity isn't total--just that he's never had sex with his real preferred gender, 'cause he's repressed, poor thing. But luckily Rodney's going to deal with it... ;-> This was great. I'd love a sequel where Rodney kindly helps out.
Summary: He could make a fortune with this technology back on Earth. Of course, it would probably bring about the fall of western civilization at the same time, but who the hell cared?

Hot damn. Thank you so much for finishing this story. I loved the first chapter, and this ending is excellent. :-D
Summary: John's stoned. Rodney isn't. There are fruit references.

"Of course I'm weird. I'm a pilot."
I think that's the best line. ::g::
Thank you for this wonderfully funny, sweet and sexy story. John is so much fun stoned, and I adore reading about poor Rodney trying to deal with him. And I think pineapple is a terrific analogy for Rodney, too. I think John would make a good kiwi--fuzzy on the outside, and sweet on the inside, with a little bit of tartness, too. ;->
Author's Response: The pilot thing came from things zoot has said about pilots. /g/ John is adorable stones, isn't he? But then he's adorable most of the time. I like your idea that John is a kiwi. It's perfect. He is fuzzy and sweet and a little tart, and he goes well with strawberries. /g/
Summary: Rodney gets a peak at what his life could be like. Thank you to Grrrl for the criticism and Rachel Sabotini for the encouragement.

Wonderful story. Wistful and sweet. I loved the almost langourous pace of it, kind of like the dream that is the basis for the whole thing. It was so much fun, especially as it was obvious in the best way that there would be a happy ending.
Author's Response: Thank you, hon. I'm always so thrilled when you like my stuff. Hope you're well.((hug))

Author's Response: Thank you :-) It was a lot of fun writing that story.

Fascinating story, and also moving. We didn't get to see all that much of the man, but these vignettes of what might have happened to him felt exactly right to me. I feel a little guilty that I found the saddest story to be the one where John dies too, though, but their conversation beforehand is wonderful. Just one thing--you have this story marked as not completed. Since it definitely feels finished, you may want to change that.
Summary: Most days, Radek appreciates it, how he and Rodney can communicate in half sentences.

That was wonderful. Sweet and very funny and perfectly Zelenka. I loved the friendship here, and Zelenka's 'whatever' attitude towards Rodney's relationship. I especially enjoyed how well they work together, and the obvious respect and enjoyment. Great stuff. I would dearly love to read more from Zelenka's point of view.
Summary: John can't hide from Rodney.

Hot damn. My favourite kink, and so sweetly done. And just a little bit sad, too, because John is exactly like that--Never entirely sure the other shoe won't drop, no matter how good everything is. Just wonderful.
Author's Response: Aw, thank you, Leah! I had trouble writing this one, I wasn't sure what John was feeling, so I'm really glad that his emotional responses rang true.

Wonderful, apt and gorgeously tragic story. It anticipates Rodney's 'failure' at the end of Siege 2 perfectly, and adds to what was already a terrible moment when he realizes that John is going to sacrifice himself. Fabulous and sad.
Author's Response: Thank you! :) I'm so glad you liked it! :D
Summary: Since he lost Rodney, John hasn't dreamt about him once.

Love the bittersweet. What happened? And is Rodney actually there? Hope so...
Chapter 1: Perchance to Dream
Summary: "Sister Jeannie McKay is always surprised when she receives mail from her brother."

That was really cool. I had never imagined that Jeanie might be a nun, but you made it work really well. I thought the details were wonderful, and made the story very moving.
Chapter 1: In the Midst of Such Great Perils
Summary: A post-Siege drabble. No spoilers, just extrapolation from what we saw in Siege, Part II.
Updated: 05 Jul 2005; Published: 05 Jul 2005
Definitely a 10 for sweet, but that is entirely to the good. I loved the scene in the lab, when I knew what was going to happen but Rodney didn't yet. And damn if it doesn't seem plausible as hell to me, at least in my little corner of the universe... :-)That was lovely. I sure hope they at least shake hands in canon.
Author's Response: I hope there is some physical contact in canon, too, but I'm bracing myself for it not being there. If John didn't even squeeze Rodney's shoulder at the end of the Defiant One... /sigh/ That's okay. We know what they're doing when no one else is looking.
I'm so glad you liked this story, hon. Hope you're well.

That was not only incredibly, gorgeously hot, but it had a strange beauty to it that only added to the enjoyment. I loved the slow sensuality. Awesome.
Summary: Rodney is fixated and bored. John notices.

That was incredibly, impossibly cute. And very sexy. Thank you for a story I was grinning all the way through.
Author's Response: Leah! I'm glad this story made you grin. It was a fun one to write. I'm sorry I took so long to answer. I somehow managed to miss all of the comments to this story. ((hugs))

Just thought I should finally let you know how very much I've been enjoying these. Teyla's memos to Ronan and his responses are my favourites. :-)

That was a wonderful, wonderful story. Warmly bittersweet and very funny.

I do love this story, but I thought you were going to add a part two? I have to admit I am disapointed at the idea that it ends here. The idea and the situation is so wonderful.
Author's Response: Give me a chance, hon! It is coming, just, slowly.
