Summary: A Crossover with Smallville: An energy force hits a puddle jumper and Sheppard's team ends up someplace very unexpected. (McKay/Sheppard, Clark/Lex)
This is just amazing. I don't know much about Smallville beyond the basics, but you make it easily understood and highly entertaining. I just adore the knack you have for banter and character attitude.
I really like this -- Rodney's conviction and determination, his intent to wound rather than kill and shock even though he knows he shot a fake Sheppard, and his care to safeguard his friend's dignity despite the aliens attempting to Make Him Do It. Very satisfying.
I've only just found this, and I really like it. I'm impressed at the different aspects you draw out of the same people, and the ways that you point out they simply can't -- and can -- trust their counterparts. Fascinating stuff, well handled.
Author's Response: Thank you so much, I\'m so pleased that you enjoyed this! I\'ve actually updated this little story recently. If you like, you could check it out at http://kungfunurse.livejournal.com/20013.html#cutid1\r\n\r\nI think the updated story is better, though I very much enjoyed the first iteration too! Let me know what you think!
Summary:John had stopped thinking of Mer'deth as a parasite long ago, but at some point he'd also stopped thinking of him as a passenger. Somewhere along the way, Mer'deth had become the other half of John's soul.
Please note there is a sort of Major Character Death Warning.
This is fantastic! Mer'deth *and* Rodney! And their sacrifice to keep John alive and then free, and John's rescue, and they each thought the other dead all that time (::sniff!::), and the SGC just *not getting it* ... perfectly done!
