Okay, I'm female, 32 and live in Leicester, UK. Big fan of sci-fi in general and obviously Atlantis :). I'm also a huge slash fan. I'll read anyone with Sheppard...does that make me a Shepslut? I particularly like John/Carson and John/Rodney, and better yet John/Carson/Rodney mmmmm. Edited to add Radek...John/Radek or John/Radek in a threesome (or even foursome) with Carson or Rodney *vbg*.
Oh, and Lorne, as well ;).

OMG ::dies::!!! This is so funny. I've watched Buffy, Atlantis, SG-1, due South and Andromeda, so I really enjoyed the characterisations; particularly the Jack and John show, poor Ray starting to freak and the general unhelpfulness of the Scoobs- especially Anya and Spike ::wheezes and wipes away the tears::. I've not seen The Sentinel, Mag 7, Highlander or...is that Diagnosis Murder?...so I don't know the characters very well, but that doesn't stop me from being amused by them either :). The naked guys' predicament seems to be getting more serious (though not any less funny yet), so I hope their other halves and the Scoobies are coming to the rescue soon. Laura ::wanders away to sit in a dark corner to recover::
Author's Response: ::beams:: Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. There's just so many chances for some really good snark here...God bless Jack O'Neill and Spike!

Oh...that's just...oh :(. Poor John, poor Rodney. How did he lose his hearing and how did it all end up here? I see much angst ahead ::fortifies self:: Laura.
Author's Response: Thank you. Yes, much angst. Hopefully the next chapter will get finished soon so I can post it. *g*

OMG, what have you been feeding the bunnies? How random is this? Funny though, especially Rodney's indignant "stop acting like I'm dying" comment *vbg*. Laura.
Author's Response: :) I blame my cocktails. :P

OMG! I feel the need to worship at the altar of Baker and Biagio! Poor John though, having to stay still and quiet until they'd gone away *eg*. Laura.
Author's Response: It's very *nice* having power over the boys. Heh. Glad you enjoyed it!

A very *Rodney* look at marriage and all it's attendant discomforts :D. Laura.
Summary: Most times the scenario you imagined didn't come true anyway. Most times it was worse.

This is hilarious! Sacred marmot...bwah! It's got great snark between John and Rodney, and I also liked Ford's studious not-laughing for fear of his life :D. This was my favourite line: "Your mouth's moving, Rodney. Take care of it." ...it's just so cutting and very John :). Laura.
Author's Response: *g* Thank you!
The Sacred marmot was inspired by my neighbour's shaggy guinea pig (which remains, so far, unshaved ;))
Summary: John blames himself for the presumed death of McKay and Weir. Meanwhile, Rodney struggles to save Elizabeth in a forgotten harbor deep in the substructure of Atlantis

Go Rodney, saving Elizabeth like that :). I loved this story: It had drama with the Wraith, plus Rodney and Elizabeth being lost; and it had some nice emotional stuff what with John's distress over possibly killing them, and his absolute joy at finding them, along with Rodney and Elizabeth's concern for each other. And even some nice John/Rodney bantering once they were reunited :). Oh and the little Wraith incinerating not-credit card was intriguing too. Excellent stuff. Laura.
Author's Response: Thanks! I am glad the John/Rodney banter came off okay. :-)

I love these two opening chapters. Seeing how different and tragic things were with just that one decision difference was interesting and it was a great set up to putting Rodney in charge. I loved the easy banter, Rodney's amusement at John not being able to find an idiot scientist capable of taking Rodney's place on the team, and the meals they shared. It was all looking very hopeful...And now this :(. Curse Chaya for splitting them apart ::grrr::. It's hard to decide which one of them is being a bigger idiot. I mean, yes; Rodney's suspiscion was right, but I don't think he went about proving it in the best way. But John's anger got the better of him and he was reckless. And now they're both being as stubborn as each other with the whole grudge holding. I'm sure that Teyla, Aiden and Radek are speaking with Rodney just as much as they're trying to get John to act. Can't wait to see what happens next. Laura.

Poor Rodney :(. I'm glad John's there to tell him he's perfect on a regular basis :). Loved the idea of matching 'jr' marks :). And imagining Elizabeth's reaction was amusing *g*. Laura.
Author's Response: *g* Thanks. The jr marks, I have to credit, were an idea my cousin tossed at me. I'm glad that they were liked.
Summary: To believe that the Wraith were the sole threat in this fucked up system . . .

I'm about to read the next part of this, but I just had to comment on this line: I just thought it was a great image. Laura.
Author's Response: Thank you, I hope you'll enjoy the rest.
Excellent story. I thought the girl/monster was intriguing, and scary once she got the teeth going. I loved the whole Sheppard/McKay thing, especially because we saw the thoughts behind the rift. I'm glad that John figured out what was bugging Rodney, even if he doesn't intend to talk about it...though I suspect Rodney could wheedle it out of him eventually. The ending was very nice, and so them; no words spoken, but it was loud and clear anyway. Very nice. Laura.
Author's Response: Thank you for your thoughtful feedback! The idea for the ending came to me quite early in the progress. I could picture John and Rodney in the infirmary; now I only needed a reason to get them there :).
Ok, me again. I've just noticed that the line I wanted to comment on for chapter one didn't post for some reason :(. Seeing as it was the whole reason for that post, I'd better let you know that it was the line about the writing looking like a finch had wandered about after falling in some ink. Laura.

Splendid! It's a very Rodney thing to focus on during all the stress ;). Laura.
Chapter 1: Time's Relative
Summary: Looking over at the still form of McKay, laying on the hospital bed, tubes and wires coming and going out of everywhere, John can't help but think that Rodney's going to need all the strength he can get, to survive this one.
Updated: 30 Jun 2005; Published: 30 Jun 2005
Yay, heroic!Rodney :). I'm glad everyone's ok. I loved John's sudden anger at Rodney, and Rodney's response *awww* :). Great stuff. Laura.
Summary: "I'm not leaving, Rodney."
