Okay, I'm female, 32 and live in Leicester, UK. Big fan of sci-fi in general and obviously Atlantis :). I'm also a huge slash fan. I'll read anyone with Sheppard...does that make me a Shepslut? I particularly like John/Carson and John/Rodney, and better yet John/Carson/Rodney mmmmm. Edited to add Radek...John/Radek or John/Radek in a threesome (or even foursome) with Carson or Rodney *vbg*.

Oh, and Lorne, as well ;).

This was an interesting take on Jeannie, and I liked her reminisences about their childhood together. It's sad to think that a lot of Rodney's message was censored by the SGC :(. Lets just hope her prayer is answered. Laura.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! After I rewatched the eppy for the second time, I came to think that there would be some censure from the SGC/government - Radek's entire message was about Atlantis and he had a hugeass naquadah generator in the background, and the SGC probably wouldn't want people to know their relatives would be dead soon, perhaps not for altruistic reasons but more for security/logistics - how would they explain the lack of body for the funeral, and how would they justify sending people's relatives to a dangerous place...

I loved this. Rodney trying to work out what he hadn't done yet, and then deciding to wait just a few minutes more before doing it, were spot on. I loved John's intent look and Rodney's inability to work it out, followed by him deciding that the intent was to melt his brain *g*. But the best bit was him finally falling asleep...after all, the only reason he was awake was because he hadn't crossed 'hug John' off his list ;). It's only fair that John would tease him for years though. Laura.

Author's Response: Thank you for the kind feedback. I'm really pleased you liked it. I'm convinced poor Rodney is going to drop like a stone once they're all safe, and John had best be there to catch him. /g/

Poor Carson. It must be hell trying to deal with John or Rodney, let alone both of them at once...the man's a martyr :). Laura.

Author's Response: I know! Hope both give him a great birthday present for the trouble they give him.

I'm glad Bates didn't get his way, and wish John *had* decked him :). Carson's little talk with Teyla seems to have done the trick too, he's reasurred her that she's not alone in this. Laura.

Author's Response: I wish he had decked him, too. Fortunately, Teyla managed to do it herself quite nicely. :-)

This is sad :(. It's a great look at how Rodney would react to losing John though, and it was kind of bittersweet when he thought about how John and he would be together forever now. Laura.
Chapter 1: Water

Summary: Are you looking for action? Adventure? Plot? Romance? Het? Slash? Snark? Perilous situations and thrilling heroics? Take-charge women and kick-ass men? Then you've come to the right place - read on! Pegasus B is an AU written by many writers in which Daniel Jackson never joined the Stargate program (but has a long history with Rodney McKay), Jack O'Neill spent much more time in Ba'al's clutches before getting back to Earth to discover that his son Charlie had killed himself, and both are part of the Atlantis mission. In this offshoot of that AU (the first section of which was written by the wonderful Salieri, hence the tense change), the Atlantis team arrives in the Pegasus Galaxy to find someone else has gotten there first...

I'm glad to see Peg Ba'al has made it here (I read it on the Peg B com), and in one big chunk too. I love this fic with all it's angst and adventure and peril. And the characterisations so recognisable as the people we know and love, but also shaped by these new experiences. Great stuff. Laura.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! You're Laura-sans-LJ, aren't you? It means a lot to get your feedback, and to know you liked it.

Well this was certainly exciting. First we get the distress of the team finding the babies, then the explosion and resultant infirmary time- I loved how John got into Carson's bad books and then told on Rodney to get into his good books again :). Next John gets himself not-electrocuted, which gave us some splendid sarcasm from he and Rodney with all the zap tests, and poor Carson having to deal with the pair of them arguing...he deserves a medal *g*. The whole Wraith thing was very interesting; why were they fighting each other? Carson's cloning idea sounded plausible. And the showdown between John and Fred was very good. And yay, no more zapping :). Laura.

It was great to see Radek and Kavanagh getting a bit of an outing by way of a change. And adek seems to have enjoyed himself :). I loved the sarcasm from John and Rodney, and was particularly amused by Elizabeth's answer when the Queen hoped she hadn't paid too much for John, and him getting a bit of his own back with the Elizabeth/Radek exchange *vbg*. As for your B7 discussions- Avon in leather = good, Kavanagh = gah!!!. And it's difficult to decide on any B7 analogues in Atlantis. I can see similarities between Gan and Holling, and maybe Kavanagh/Vila, but I'm not convinced on that one. Oh and Kolya/Travis is an easy one. It's an interesting conundrum though ::wanders off to ponder some more::. Laura.

Heeee. Love the Rodney/Radek bickering and Carson's complete lack of sympathy :). ANd it was funny when Miko figured it all out so quickly, and with nothing blowing up :). Laura.

Author's Response: It occurred to me that Miko's portrayed as being kinda subservient. I wanted to do something where she figured out the answer. And if it also involved lab explosions and McKay/Zelenka banter, so much the better!

*blinks* ::is speechless::. Wow, you've really illustrated the effects grief can have on people. Poor John :(. His dad really said some awful things to him, and I know he was devastated himself, but it's still a terrible thing for him to have done. Reading between the lines (and I may be wrong), but it seems that John was holding everything together because Jeremy wasn't- with the obsessive cleaning and such, so it's even worse for his dad to turn round and be angry because John hasn't cried. And it's hardly John's fault that he resembles his mother so much. I love the way it ties into your previous fic and the backstory in that now makes more sense. I'd love it if you could do a third fic in this series, looking at our John dealing with his past in some way. We've seen how the rift affected Jeremy, so it would be nice to see it from John's perspective. ::eyes you with puppy dog eyes:: Laura.

*giggle* squirming!John is highly amusing, I think if I was in Ekizabeth's shoes, I wouldn't be able to resist either :). Still, her suggestion seems to have worked ;). Laura.

Author's Response: I wouldn't have been able to resist making John squirm either. Plus, he squirms so... hypnotically.

Poor John, I really have to agree with Rodney and Aiden on this one- he really was quite gullible to fall for that. Bad Aiden! *vbg*. And then, awww, we got to the bottom of it and it was all down to John being insecure ::pats John::. I'm glad Aiden's put him right on that point. Laura.

Oh, ow ::hugs Rodney::. This first chapter was so sad. It's such a Rodney thing to do, not standing for that sort of dishonesty. I hope the next chapter will be happier for him. And I'm also looking forward to what will happen once Jason reappears on the scene. Laura.

Author's Response: I see Rodney as someone who tells the truth, no matter what. I mean, he tells it like it is, no matter how much he insiults someone, or gets into trouble. I mean, when he apologis4d ot Cartter in Redemption, Part 2 in SG-1, he told her he was only critical because he was jealous. Thats honesty for ya. Jason wont show up for another few chapters, but when he does, he throws a spanner in the works. Updating soon.

Nice. I loved the little conversation on Rodney's balcony. We see the trust they have in each other by revealing their secrets. I liked how that gradually built until John felt able to make his move :). I can't wait to see what happens next. Laura.

Author's Response: Aw, thanks. I wasnt sure how that worked out, so Its nice to know people liked it. Thanks for reviewing

Yay, smut! I liked the ending, even if it was a little smushy :). It was great to see the depth of love they have for each other for Rodney to tell him about his childhood and for John to be so supportive and wanting to give Rodney the chance to experience what he missed :). And my, that last sentence just keeps on running! *g* I hope the creature Jason won't spoil his when he finally turns up again. Laura.

Author's Response: There's nothing like a bit o' McShep smut to briughten p the day if you ask me ;o) Jason should show up within three or four chapters. Probably three.

Well, grinning like a loon was my predominant state while reading this chapter :). I'm so happy that Rodney doesn't have to be a hypocrite to be with John, and I loved how eager John was to announce them to everyone :). I also loved John's teasing of Teyla and Ford, and Ford's betting pool. I'm half looking forward to Jason's appearance, and half dreading that he's going to spoil things for them. Either way, I'm keen for the next chapter. Laura.

Author's Response: Grinning like a loon is my ususal state when I read your reviews ;o) Thanks for the compliments. Jason comes back in soon, promise!

It didn't seem rushed to me, just fast paced, like the show itself was. You caught all the tension from the eps and ratcheted it up even more with the character stuff you added. Particularly memorable bits are John telling Everett about he and Rodney being involved, and Everett's shocked reaction; and Teyla's revelation about being asked to marry Aiden :(. I loved Rodney's reaction when he got hold of John after his near thing with the jumper bomb, and also his pleased surprise that John wants to meet Jeannie. Oh, and I loved Rodney's mirror idea too ::drools::. I can't wait for the next chapter and the return of Jason...I really hope he doesn't throw any major spanners in the works, but I'm all for him causing a little bit of drama and angst, emphasis on *little* ;). Laura.

Author's Response: Aw, thanks. Well, Im not sure yself how much of a spanner he'll through in the words, but i can tell yout hank john will be PISSED OFF alot when he's around.

Firstly, gotta say how much I enjoyed the Jack/John talk about their scientists :), and I had to chuckle at John's initial announcement making Jack turn purple *g*. As for Jason, I'm glad he's made an appearance and got the angst ball rolling. I wasn't ready to like him yet, but he moved a couple of steps closer when we learned that he'd been searching for Rodney since the break up and was filled with remorse about his bad treatment of Rodney. He then slid back down the scale again with his disbelief that Rodney was seeing someone, and his determination to get Rodney back >(. I hope he doesn't go too overboard with his efforts to win Rodney over, and I can't wait to see his reaction when he finds out that Hot-guy is Rodney's lover *g*. Loved protective!John at the end there; he's well aware that Jason could be trouble. I'm looking forward to the next chapter eagerly. Laura.

Author's Response: As usual, you ahve wonderful, positive comment about the chapter. Thank you!! I think I shouold start carrying you around in my back pocket. You're so good for my ego! Thank you for your kind comments, and i hope yuo like the next chapter

Ok, firstly? I didn't find this chapter to be too slow at all, I actually thought quite a bit happened. I love dthe little John/Rodney scene at the beginning, especially John deciding never to let Rodney know that he was disoriented too *g*. And I'm glad John's told Rodney that he trusts him but not Jason. It's good that that's out in the open between them and didn't cause any disruption. I liked the bits with the news guys- they gave us a bit more insight into the characters and I get the distinct impression that they don't give up easily; they also gave us the dramatic point of them seeing Rodney and telling Jason. I can't wait to see how this will play out. Will Jason put Rodney first this time, or will he try to use his knowledge of Rodney to get information out of him? I can't decide which scenario appeals more, both have the possibility for hurt!Rodney and protective!John, which yay *g*. Finally, I loved the coffee moment between Rodney and Kent, it was a nice glimpse of the real Rodney that's usually hidden under the gruff snark. Well, as always, I'm looking forward to the next chapter. Laura ::who is getting comfortable in our back pocket *vbg*::

Author's Response: Wow, you really liked it, dodnt you? Thank you for all your kind comments and wonderful support. I'm not going to spoil anything by saying which one Jason chooses, but I promise you plenty of angst ahead. *hugs* Thanks for the review
