Okay, I'm female, 32 and live in Leicester, UK. Big fan of sci-fi in general and obviously Atlantis :). I'm also a huge slash fan. I'll read anyone with Sheppard...does that make me a Shepslut? I particularly like John/Carson and John/Rodney, and better yet John/Carson/Rodney mmmmm. Edited to add Radek...John/Radek or John/Radek in a threesome (or even foursome) with Carson or Rodney *vbg*.

Oh, and Lorne, as well ;).

Only Rodney could be so spectacularly cranky after sex *g*. Let's hope John's desire to fall in love with Rodney is possible :). Laura.

Author's Response: oh, Rodney... yes, he is quite the character. and, as for John, well, we'll see in the future! ~.^

Intriguing toy there, though perhaps it works a little differently on grown ups? Either way, it made for some nice quiet time for our boys to confess their undying love in their own special ways :). Laura.

Author's Response: thank you for the ancient device compliment! and yes, it did seem to work a little off on them didn't it? all the better for us, however! glad you liked their unspoken confessions ^-^

I wonder who the secret admirer is, now that three of the usual suspects have been eliminated from the running. I loved Carson and Radek's little chat, and I could picture Carson's face as realisation hit :). Looking forward to the next chapter. Laura.

I could've sworn i reviewed this chapter when it first went up, but apparently not :(. Better late than never though...It was a shock to see John, and to see the state he was in, but it was also good to know that he'd realised the mistake he'd made and was willing to do all he could to make up for it. I liked Carson's idea about John flying for his friend's helicopter tour business. Laura.

Excellent ending. I'm glad it all turned out for the best and they ended up back home, even if it did take a few years. Loved Caldwell getting the shock of John being back and married to Carson :). Also loved the welcome return of Rodney's banter and the way the three men fell back into their teasing ways immediately. Laura.

Lovely story. I liked John's care of Rodney and how he wasn't bothered to let Elizabeth see the affection. And yes, as Leah (I think) says, all the best gen is pre-slash, so that's what I read :). Laura.

Author's Response: Yes, it is Leah that says all the best gen is pre-slash. I completely agree with her, and I write most of my stories with that in mind. Thanks - I'm glad you liked it.
Chapter 1: chapter 1

Summary: He's the one who swore they should be careful with Ancient technology.
Other warning: This is group sex in the gate room fic. As in an orgy. There is slash and het but the focus is on slash. And it will be continued in several chapters.

Not quite sure how I managed to miss this when I read part two, but...OMG it was so very hot. And this foursome is my favourite, so yay. I loved John taunting Rodney with his maths ability, and Carson's oral fixation, well and all of it really *vbg*. To think I was missing this all this time :(. Laura.

Author's Response: *g* Thank you! :) I'm happy that you liked it because this was one of my favorite stories for them. They are just too cute with John's taunts and Carson's mouth. (Such a nice mouth it is!)

This is a really great insight into John's thoughts early on, how he picked his team from the SG-1 blueprint, and how he'd not gotten used to Rodney yet. It's a little sad that he's got to write to O'Neill (or maybe he doesn't find it sad?), but at least he can talk freely to Jack without worrying about classified stuff. And Jack has the understanding of the situation, to really *get* what John's experiencing. Laura.

Ah, the turning point in the John/Rodney dynamic, from colleagues to friends :). And I love how John's so put out that he won't always be able to save the day. It may be a sad fact, but it's so very *him* to be offended by it. I do feel the urge to clock him one for the 'expendable' comment though! Laura.

You really capture John's personality in these. It's so very him to try and joke away the impact the Wraith bug had on him. As if that feeling of irreverance gives him some distance. I'd love to see how Jack reacts to these little missives, this is how he would write letters too. Laura.

Oh, I hope Jack does read these. I'd like to think that he has given John a thought or two. And it was good to see the Hammond/O'Neill issue dealt with here too. Laura.

It's kinda sad to see John's doubts about himself when everyone else sees the hero. And it's great to see his one man war with the Genii had some impact, as it was pretty much glossed over in canon. At least he's writing this to someone who'll understand. He could talk to Heightmeyer, but she's never going to be able to understand like Jack because she's unlikely ever to be in the position of fighting a war so personally. The idea of them aking a jumper and relaxing over a beer is nice :). I also notice that he's signed off as John this time, rather than Major John Sheppard. Laura.

Poor John, it must have been a shock when Chaya went all glowy. I forget that he's had no previous experience with aliens sometimes. I loved finding out about Rodney's displeasure manifesting as cold showers and other such problems :). Laura.

Great letter. You really get John's voice; that mixture of self-deprecation where he thinks it's unlikely that Jack would bother to read letters from him, and the respect he feels that Jack will understand why John wrote them and will honour John's request for a scientist to inform his mother should the need arise. I like to think that Jack would read them, and maybe even respond in some way. Which reminds me, I liked that John called him Jack there in the last lines. Great insight into the innner workings of John's mind. Laura.

Noooo! It looked so good, what with Rodney going back to the labs and evn managing to berate Kavanagh and Miko. I liked learning of the little amateur therapy sessions where Rodney talks to John too. So it was such a surprise when he said he was thinking of leaving. Poor John, I felt for him when his whole world broke :(. Laura.

Author's Response: The poor boy, he's trying so hard. *evil grin* Thanks, laura.

Yay, Rodney's full duties are restored and he hasn't talked about leaving :). I loved the scene where Rodney told John about how he couldn't trust anyone, and John's reaction to it, reminding Rodney that he trusted *him*. I also liked the kiss and how Rodney's hurt faded when he finally, truly grasped that John loves him :). Awww. Can't wait to see what happens next. Laura.

Author's Response: Thanks! Rodney just needed a push in the right direction methinks. *g*

Poor Rodney, he's left the field wide open for Carson. And John seemed so happy to have a date with arson. I can't wait to see what happens next. I assume Carson's just trying to goad Rodney into action? I hope John's ok with that when he finds out...although we know he has feelings for Rodney. It's all very exciting :). Laura.
