Okay, I'm female, 32 and live in Leicester, UK. Big fan of sci-fi in general and obviously Atlantis :). I'm also a huge slash fan. I'll read anyone with Sheppard...does that make me a Shepslut? I particularly like John/Carson and John/Rodney, and better yet John/Carson/Rodney mmmmm. Edited to add Radek...John/Radek or John/Radek in a threesome (or even foursome) with Carson or Rodney *vbg*.

Oh, and Lorne, as well ;).

Excellent chapter. You really caught John's mix of anger and worry, and his desire to hurt Sonider simply because he was available. I liked how Elizabeth kept him under control while also being compassionate towards him. I hope his plan to help Rodney works ::crosses fingers::. I'm looking forward to the next chapter, both to see what happens in the dream world, and also to see what happens in the outside world. Carson and Elizabeth are going to be *so* angry with John. Laura.

Author's Response: Thank you. You are always so sweet. Thanks for your kind comments, and yes, John is going to be in SOOOOOOOOo much trouble ;o)

Oh, excellent chapter. Poor Rodney, such a terrible experience to keep reliving :(. I'm glad John gave him the strength to beat it, especially when young John turned up to defend Rodney. I also liked Mendesa's appearance, and that Rodney forgave him. I can't wait to see what happens next- I see lots of trouble in the shape of Carson and Elizabeth, but I hope it will be tempered by the fact that John's plan worked. Elizabeth worried that they'd lose John as well as Rodney when Mendesa died, but I'm of the opinion that they would have lost John if Rodney had died anyway, so at least this way he had the opportunity to help. I'm looking forward to some sap too, they both deserve it after all they've ben through. Laura.

Author's Response: Thank you! *grin* Your reviews always make me smile. I want John to get into trouble, but like you said, he wouldnt have been able to cope without Rodney, so I suppose they can forgive him. DOnt worry, it will be very sappy. Maybe not 'I wuv you' spapy, but at least romantic and stuff.

Nice fleshing out of John's backstory there. I particularly liked the bit about his dad being the reason that 'no one gets left behind' is so deeply ingrained in him. Laura.

If she hates it so much, why is she a therapist? I'd love to know what your take on that is. I think Rodney would benefit a lot more from what non-therapist Kate would say *g*. And I can see that it must be terribly difficult to have no one to talk her own problems out with too :(. Laura.

Author's Response: Heh. That would be because she's a psychologist doing research, and like Carson only ended up doing the other stuff because it was so despereately needed :D Or, you know, I could be talking out of my ass ;)

I thought you handled Rodney's confused feelings very well, especially his self-snark and the lament that his alter ego was a teenage girl :). I loved that Radek and Elizabeth had figured out his feelings. The whole Wraith dart concept was intriguing, not only was the actual design well described, but the interface with Teyla was interesting...though a bit macabre. I was so pleased when John finally got to the bottom of Rodney's worse than usual snark and cornered him on the balcony :). Laura.

Wow, the fights were certainly very tense, especially that last one when John had run out of darts and was taking hits! I loved the scenes with John ordering 'the blonde' around...I wondered whether she'd turn out to be Sam, and was pleased when she did. And I assume that's Daniel with Elizabeth? Laura.

Hee, nice bit of McKay and Sheppard wrangling there from Caldwell :). And yay, I was right about that being Daniel...not that it was a particularly difficult guess ;). Laura.

I like the slight wariness Sheppard has of Sam. Even though we know how well she handles combat, all he has to go on is what he sees now. I'm looking forward to more exciting Wraith battles next chapter. Laura.

*Meep* Ford! ::sniffle::. I'm glad Teyla's going to be ok though. And Sam's fine? So, was that some other blonde, blue eyed, woman Teyla saw the Wraith start to drain, or is she covering up? She seemed pretty sure with the 'really fine fine' as opposed to the 'not really fine fine'. Loved all the mutual ganging up going on between John, Rodney, Elizabeth and Carson, all trying to make excuses for staying awake, whilst thinking up reasons for the others to be asleep :). I look forward to the next chapter. Laura.
Chapter 5: The Waiting

So sad, but also optimistic. I was happy when Teyla woke and John had one less person to worry about. The banter between Sam and Daniel was a welcome distraction, if only for a moment. I loved the part where Daniel gave John Jack's reassignment offer, and John declined...not that there was ever any doubt about him staying. The funeral was sad, but Elizabeth's speech gave hope for the future and it was a poignant way to end this (for now?). Laura.

Heh. As payback goes...that was hot :). I was amused by John's embarrassment, and how Rodney didn't help by rating the hickey *g*. Markham and Stackhouse's guesses at who was responsible were funny too, especially in light of what they saw :). Laura.

Author's Response: Thanks *grins* You are always so sweet to review. Thank you.

I loved this. It was great to see the little differences between Rodneys', the similarities too. And it was great that wrong-Rodney made John realise just how much *his* Rodney actually meant to him. I was pleased that he acted on this discovery, and that Rodney was enthusiastic. I was a little sad during Rodney's morning after certainty that John would leave him now he'd had his fun :(. Good job John knew just how to convince him otherwise ;). It was a little sad too, when they destroyed the mirror, but necessary nonetheless. Excellent story. Laura.

This is a great start. Rodney's well and truly honed his snark already :). I'm kind of pleased he's terrorised his spawn though as I'm not a huge fan of kids myself (also amused as we all call my cousins kids Spawn One, Two and Three *g*). I can't wait to see more of John and Rodney's interactions. The picture's nice too. Laura.

Another great chapter and illustration. I like the way John and Rodney have fallen into their friendship so easily, you've really done well at capturing 'our' guys personalities but changing them enough to make them convincing teens. Loved Rodney's prank, and John's reaction to it. I hope John makes sure Rodney survives the dreaded hike ;). Laura.

I love how much fun they're having, all the banter and teasing. I think you've done a great job of keeping them both recognisably snarky but also without the slightly cynical edge of grown up John and Rodney. The word geeklet amuses me too :). I also liked the little visit to Rodney-angst when he told John about his unrequited love; I hope it's not unrequited for much longer. Laura.

Another great chapter. I love the banter and teasing, how natural and fun it is. The differing attitudes to the kids/hellions is amusing. Also loved that little moment of angst when Rodney decided that John had figured him out and was running away :(. Glad to see he was wrong. Laura.

The first chapter was very sweet with their tired and hesitant confessions of love. Poor Rodney though, he really does say the wrong thing sometimes! Still, luckily John expects it and overlooks it most of the time. This was your first NC-17 you say? Well, it was hot and sweet, so I hope you'll write more :). Laura.

This was an interesting, and different, pov. And it's nice to see Sora's status tackled as she seems to have fallen through the cracks in canon. I liked her gradual realisation that the Genii wouldn't try to rescue her, and how she reached this conclusion due to the contrast between her people and the Atlanteans. It was good to see John and Teyla visiting her too, and John's reading was a nice touch. Laura.
