Okay, I'm female, 32 and live in Leicester, UK. Big fan of sci-fi in general and obviously Atlantis :). I'm also a huge slash fan. I'll read anyone with Sheppard...does that make me a Shepslut? I particularly like John/Carson and John/Rodney, and better yet John/Carson/Rodney mmmmm. Edited to add Radek...John/Radek or John/Radek in a threesome (or even foursome) with Carson or Rodney *vbg*.

Oh, and Lorne, as well ;).

*Meep* Rodney! This is a great start, if an evil cliffhanger :). I loved both John and Jeannie's aggitation, you really caught their concern for Rodney. I'm worried now, just what has happened to Rodney, and who, or what, is not-Rodney? And Yay! Jack :). Laura.

Well, the tension and suspense is certainly ratcheted up to 'high' here! Just who is this Artemis, and what does he want with Rodney? I can't wait to find out, and also see who John and co. are after that jumper crash. Laura.

Quite a bit going on this chapter :). I'm glad John and Jeannie are relatively unscathed and have met the friendly natives. I was concerned when Rodney was so obviously under the influence of Thame, but happy that Jeannie managed to snap him free somehow. I was amused by Teyla's irritation at the Doctor stopping to poke at machinery and spout cliches, but I'm worried about what will happen to them next. Laura.

I like the stuff between John and Jeannie; I'll be interested to see what Rodney makes of it...if he notices, of course. More nice Teyla-irritated-by-the-Doctor moments too, but I'm glad he's got a plan. And then there's Rodney, learning all he can before he tries to escape. I can't wait to see what happens next. Laura.

OMG! That is such an evil place to leave us! Does this mean that The Master is now on Atlantis, in Jeannie's body? I'm sure the Doctor and Rodney will know what's going on pretty quickly. I just hope that they can figure something out to get Jeannie back and The Master dealt with once and for all. Laura.

Well, my guess about Jeannie was wrong then ;). This was a great chapter. I thought you caught Rodney's grief and John's shock very well, especially when Rodney blew up at John. I'm glad the Doctor heard what Rodney whispered to himself, and that they're on the way to rescue Jeannie. Laura.

Gah! I'm glad to hear you've planned a sequel after leaving us there! *g* This wa a great ending to the rescue of Jeannie. I hope the Master is finally dealt with, but he's disgustingly resilient :(. I hope John manages to keep his friendship with Rodney. I think he's doing the right thing with regards to Jeannie and I hope she will accept that. Laura.

I loved this. The whole captured Ancient thing was ingenious, and the responses from everyone, but especially John and Rodney were very well handled. It made a change to see John more bothered than Rodney, and I liked the way they gradually got closer. Great stuff. Laura.

Ok, I've been reading this on list, but I thought I'd give a quick review here, just to get the ball rolling ;). Excellent story, and I love the differences between the Rodneys' and Johns', some subtle and some really not...Bad not-John! >(. I was pleased when everyone ended up back in the right reality, but it was a little tense until our Rodney stopped flinching at our John, and not-John and Rodney started to become friends. My grin was huge when our John and Rodney finally got together, but that happiness was offset by worry over not-Rodney and the nearby Wraith ::bites nails::, so it was great to see he was unharmed other than being stunned. I was surprised to be glad of Kavanagh's snooping, but he helped save Rodney and point out that Sam had caused it. As for not-Sam, she's really not a nice person, especially after it was discovered that she caused the malfunction that endangered Gall and Rodney, plus probably blowing up Peter on purpose! *grrr*. And then she used the mirror to escape and brought our? Sam into her mess :(. I'm not liking the sound of her plan to get to Atlantis, especially not if she's out for revenge on our John and Rodney just as they've gotten together! I can only hope that the combined genius of Rodney and our-Sam can fix the mirror, especially as bad-Sam doesn't seem to be quite as capable as ours. Looking forward to more as always, Laura.

Author's Response: LOL!! I *love* your overview of the story, Laura ! Makes me realize exactly how complicated it's become :-D And there is still more to come soon.

Oh my! This was a powerful story; I found myself feeling sad for the people lost, and the people left behind; angry at the Wraith for enslaving them; upset to see what had become of John, and how he ultimately died :(; but even through all that sadness and anger, I was also proud that the Atlanteans had managed to rally themselves and bravely fight with everything they had. Laura.

Author's Response: Thank you.... thank you so much *g*

Well, that was certainly unexpected! I'm glad John's going to be ok, and I loved how the team reacted to the attack- Rodney trying for scientific detachment, Ford's nervousness about having shot her to save John, and Teyla's unflappable calm helping John recover. I wonder just why the Ancient woman was in such distress, and why she was so strong...and also, what this all means for the team. Can't wait to find out. Laura.

It's always the same, "a couple of rooms" and Rodney always picks the worst possible option ::rolls eyes::...still, it would be boring if they found all the harmless rooms *vbg*. I really must take issue with your cliffhanger ending; it's just not right to leave people guessing. I demand the next chapter as recompense! ;) Laura.

Author's Response: Poor McKay... he always jinxs things! Maybe next time he'll just find a room with a couch and a tv in it... nah...

These are great little snippets of everyone's childhoods. I can't wait to see why they're dreaming them now, and whether there's any significance to the fact that only Aiden's dream faded to white. Laura.

*Eep* Evil cliffhanger! This game sounds intriguing, but also somewhat alarming, given what we know about the Ancients that have been playing it for thousands of years. I'm looking forward to the next chapter. Laura.

Poor Rodney, I think he has every right to be upset with John and Aiden at the moment, but I hope it's not for long. I liked Teyla's glare of disapproval. I can't wait to see what's on the other side of the door. Laura.

Ouch. Poor Teyla :(. I'm sensing a theme of shame and humiliation; I'm assuming it's Aiden's turn next? I'm really intrigued about this game. What purpose does it serve, and does it focus only on the bad things? After all, Ancient woman didn't seem to be having a great time of it did she? I have many questions, such as, what do they have to do to complete the game? I'm keen to see the next chapter and whatever you've cooked up for Aiden. Laura.

Oh, poor Aiden :(. Is it me, or are their experiences getting more extreme. Rodney was humiliated, Teyla had to face her father's shame and now Aiden's had to deal with his uncle's death. I'm not seeing anything happy in line for John :(. Laura.

I *thought* it was getting worse, it makes sense when you think in terms of game levels. Poor John :(. I'm glad he managed to stop the game before he saw his mother, but now I'm worried about what he's gotten himself into now, and where the others are. Laura.

*eep* Not *our* Aiden, surely? This game is getting worse and this is likely to haunt John even if it is only a simulation of Ford. If it's not a simulation... :(. Laura.
