Okay, I'm female, 32 and live in Leicester, UK. Big fan of sci-fi in general and obviously Atlantis :). I'm also a huge slash fan. I'll read anyone with Sheppard...does that make me a Shepslut? I particularly like John/Carson and John/Rodney, and better yet John/Carson/Rodney mmmmm. Edited to add Radek...John/Radek or John/Radek in a threesome (or even foursome) with Carson or Rodney *vbg*.

Oh, and Lorne, as well ;).

I loved the fact that John had the answer to saving Rodney from Dot's pulling him over the balcony. It's just like everyone's been telling him and it's nice to see he's finally willing to do the whole friend thing. I'm pleased too, that Rodney seems to have some ideas for helping Dot and company. I guess I can see why John was so surprised that Rodney wanted to help, but I was pleased that he's willing to go along with Rodney too. Laura.

Very tense chapter. I really liked how John held Carson back without realising that he was moving for the door himself. I'm glad Rodney was able to offer his help and that Datanunana accepted, but I'm concerned about what it's done to Rodney :(. I liked the descriptions of what Rodney saw during his contact with Dot. Laura.

Oh, you had me worried there. Rodney dead?!!! What a relief when he suddenly came back. I really thought you caught John and Carson's grief, as well as their utter joy when Rodney came back to life. I could just picture the huge and uncontrollable grins :D. I loved the ending too, with John and Rodney simply sitting, comfortable in their friendship now that they've both decided to stop denying it. And a blackout cliffhanger? Coincidence, or Dot and her friends returning? Can't wait to find out. Laura.

I haven't seen the ep this was based on yet, but I can't seem to stop reading spoiler stories :). Not that I couldn't get the gist from this, you've got enough info in there for me to piece together what I need. Poor Carson, all banged up :(. Still, it was funny seeing him acting all stubborn considering his annoyance when certain other people get like that...and also seeing how much it didn't affect his staff *g*. I liked the little talk between John and Carson too, there's not enough interaction between them in fics IMHO. Laura.

Poor John. I shouldn't laugh...but I did anyway *g*. Loved the giant ant doing the Rodney things, and Rodney's worry for John turning to gentle mocking once he was sure John was going to be ok :). I liked John's slightly hysterical thoughts as he confronted the giant ant, and also the little bit of backstory about the ants on his wall when he was three. Laura.

I don't think I'd risk the ladies locker room if I was Ford...I bet he'd not stand a chance of outrunning Teyla in a towel. And he also needs to remember that he has a woman for a boss and also several nurses with big needles :). I loved the Superman teasing, especially when Teyla started in on it too *g*. Laura.

Author's Response: Oh, Ford knows all of these things -- I think he's just placing a LOT of faith on his ability to run and hide. Marine, you know ;o) But yay, I'm glad you liked it!

Oh, you really caught the essence of Rodney annoyance and snark with all his irritated and outraged thoughts about his head being stolen and John not being nearly as concerned as he should be. It made me grin :). Loved the ending too, with Rodney and his disturbing realisation *g*. Laura.

Author's Response: Hehehe, *he* certainly considers his realization disturbing. And yay, I'm glad to hear that you thought Rodney rang true -- that's the best compliment!

Lovely :). So much complication and hot sex. I loved the whole unknown that is John and Rodney's relationship, so much they just can't quite say to each other...so close, but not quite :). And I loved the Rodney/Ronon bonding over food thing. I haven't seen any of season two yet, but you've really caught John and Rodney, so I can only assume that your Dex is accurate too, and you've made him very clear, as someone who hasn't seen him on screen. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next in this triangle. Laura.

Ooo, nice :). I loved all the snark and teasing that went on, and then, when Rodney went that little bit too far, I liked his apology- it's so very Rodney to apologise with a favourite MRE flavour rather than actually saying it :). And once the sex started (which was hot btw), I loved how the normal team dynamics still applied, such as Dex asking for permission to speak after being ordered to shut up, even as he was otherwise busy with Rodney :). This was really hot, and it worked as a natural progression from Rodney's freak session and them trying to calm him down. I especially liked the little alpha competition between John and Ronon...yum :). i thought you did an excellent job with keeping all the characters spot on, and I'd love to see you write more, if not of this story, then of this foursome :). Laura.

Loved this, it was funny and sweet, with just that little hint of peril to give it an edge. I liked how the creature kept changing what it wasn't each time it was described *g*. The John/Rodney stuff was excellent- just the right mix of snark, Rodney's panic, John's smirking, 'adrenaline' and hot :). Teyla and Ford made me grin at the end too, with all their talk about practicing their scientist catching *vbg*. Loved the very ending...I think I'd probably hyperventilate a little if John was stalking at me ;). And Rodney's little speak-first-think-later slip about the lube made me chuckle *g*. Laura.

I really have to compliment you on your characterisation. It's so John to be laid back and accepting of the break up, but at the same time not actually letting the subject drop :). And as for Rodney; you do his own special brand of snarky logic extremely well. This was funny and sweet, and I was happy that Rodney eventually came to his senses after his loud not-talking. As for high maintenance...some phrase about pots and kettles springs to mind *vbg*. Laura.

I loved this. Poor guys, falling asleep half way through sentences :). I loved that sleepy awareness that let 'I'm in your room because I carried you here, and your bed because the chair's uncomfortable' make perfectly logical sense. I liked John's relief at the command structure returning after so long, and no longer struggling alone. And I loved Rodney kissing John, and John kissing back :). Laura.

Wow, this is a really different take on John's poster...or not John's as it turns out. Yet it seems like something John would do, some small way to remember Sumner without being overboard about it. Nice insights into both John and Sumner and their personal items. Laura.

Author's Response: John's never going to forget Sumner and what John had to do. I like to think that this would be his way of making peace with that, at least for awhile. Thanks!

Wow, this was great! I love long fic as it usually has loads of intriguing details and plenty of character stuff. Plotwise, this story was very interesting. The reason for them ending up in the other dimension was well thought out and made sense to me, and I liked the fact that the equations took a while and it wasn't a miracle fix even for Rodney. I was also pleased that John got involved in the maths and even came up with the eventual solution :). The idea of the ghost images was good, both because of the information they gleaned from listening in and also because it gave them a link to their home dimension (even if it was very tenuous). The trade missions were great too. Not only did we get to see how well John can do without Teyla (ok, he had a little with background knowledge from his own dimension, but still), but I enjoyed the trip they both took to the Yelph and the amusing snarky ladies :). I also loved all John's fretting when Rodney was off on Dagan, and his industriousness to try to stave off the worry. The messages were another nice touch; lets hope the other Atlantis expedition benefits from John and Rodney's information. And I also hope that other John and Rodney benefit from our John's cryptic message...which I'm off to read the explanation for in a moment. As for the characterisation, you got it spot on. These are two complicated guys: Rodney all snarky genius front and a little shy but passionate underneath. And his worry, both for John, and regarding John's intentions for their relationship, vaguely waiting for the other shoe to drop. And John, appearing so laid back and in control to the outside world, but a lot more prone to panic and freaking- especially about Rodney's safety- than you would expect on the inside. And always the conflict about whether to kiss or kill Rodney to shut him up :). To my mind, you caught all this beautifully. Yay you *g*. I'm pretty sure I could ramble on like this for a while, but I'm making myself stop now so I can read the next bit before I have to go to bed ;). Laura.

Well, not only has that cleared that up (I suspected it must be something along those lines, though I had bet on John being in it rather than Mindy), but it was interupted by Rodney in amusing fashion...and I was amused :). I wonder if John truly understands what he's gotten himself into? Nah, of course he does, and he wouldn't have it any other way *vbg*. I'm off to add this to my favourites list now. Laura.

I liked how it was all linked by John's eating of dessert at the start and his wishing for whipped cream at the end. I liked John's observations about everyone and what dessert they favoured. His thoughts on Elizabeth needing company and Teyla stepping in were insightful, and his thoughts on the opposing feelings that Rodney causes him were great. I loved the ending, Rodney's careful plan all shot to hell by John stealing the control :). Hot too. Laura.
