Okay, I'm female, 32 and live in Leicester, UK. Big fan of sci-fi in general and obviously Atlantis :). I'm also a huge slash fan. I'll read anyone with Sheppard...does that make me a Shepslut? I particularly like John/Carson and John/Rodney, and better yet John/Carson/Rodney mmmmm. Edited to add Radek...John/Radek or John/Radek in a threesome (or even foursome) with Carson or Rodney *vbg*.
Oh, and Lorne, as well ;).
After a mission gone wrong, Rodney McKay thinks about art, sport and his inability to understand either. -SLASH VERSION-

Great to see an update :). I'm sad that Rodney feels the need to run from John, especially now he's gotten himself into some mysterious trouble :(. I hope John's on hand to rescue him. Laura.
Chapter 4: Anatomically Possible
"It was a whim that brought him to the tower."

*Meep* This is tense stuff! I can't wait to find out what's gotten into Sheppard to make him so vicious towards Rodney. And now he's opened the door again ::hides under desk::. I wonder if it will hurt Rodney as much if he's not in the room? I hope not for his sake :(. I'm eagerly awaiting the next chapter. Laura.
Oh...Oh my...words fail me! This was creepy, with the not-trees and such, and what happened to Rodney. But it also showed the hidden depths of Rodney too, that he so quickly took the deal to save John. I'm so pleased that there will be a sequel as I have several questions about why Rodney was aware when John didn't seem to be, and why the not-tree picked him. Is it to do with the ATA gene, or is it a Rodney thing? And will we ever find out what happened to Hessling? Laura.
Author's Response: I hope to answer at least some of your questions in the sequel, although I will deliberately *not* answer others. I don't think we'll ever find out exactly what happened to Hessling, but I can tell you he isn't coming back. I'm glad you liked this story. It's been a lot of fun to write.
It wasn’t at all what they expected it to be - Atlantis trades with a highly advanced race and is caught up in their domestic problems.

There's a lot going on in this, even though it's quite a short chapter. Poor John sounds like he's in a lot of pain, and it doesn't seem like Carson is doing much better :(. I really felt Elizabeth's frustration at the situation and her loss of control over it. I'm with her and Rodney too, Wam Vter knows way more than he's saying. Not only has he pretty much convicted McKay without proof, but now he's wanting to ask Weir questions? Not good! And then there's...whoever...looking in the mirror. I can't wait to find out who he is. Laura.
Another bomb?!!! John was already out cold, this can't have helped his condition, and now Teyla's being trampled too. Plus Rodney's still in jail and Elizabeth's having to blame him to keep herself vaguely autonomous. This is *so* not good :(! At least we can be thankful that Carson and Aiden are safely back home. Laura.
Eek, poor Rodney. I hope he hasn't managed to incriminate himself too much with his drugged ramblings. And Kijen, at least he's got a name now, but I still can't wait to find out what's really going on- Carson has dark hair and blue eyes, but he's safely back to Atlantis now...I'm definitely intrigued! Laura.
Ok, there's a glimmer of hope on the horizon for Rodney at least, hopefully whatever punishment he gets won't be too terrible. Good on Weir for managing to negotiate that much out of Wam Vter. I'm concerned for 'Kijen' now though, and I'm not even sure if I should be! Laura.
Ooo, lots of interesting stuff this chapter. What's happened to John, he's not really dead is he? *meep*. Where's Kijen being taken, and by whom? And what's Rodney gotten involved in now? Laura.
I'm glad to hear that everyone in the infirmary is more or less on the mend, it's a plus point against all the negative things such as John's whereabouts, Rodney's exile and Kijen's predicament. I still can't quite decide about Kijen. Just who is he? Laura.
John stared at her, the Doctor and Rose then the TARDIS. “What the hell is going on around here?” Crossover with Dr Who.

Well, at least there's the plus pint of the creature being dead; but it's seriously outweighed by people with knife wounds, a hostile intruder and the 'dreamscape crew' stuck. I was pleased to see the eighth Doctor making an appearance...mmmm Paul McGann :). Rodney's thoughts show just how horrible his childhood was :(. I hope he and Jeannie can repair some of the hurt. Laura.
Oh, and the action hots up again. It had to be Kolya didn't it? The man is completely unable to let things go! I was pleased that Rodney and Jeannie managed to sort themselves out and realise that it was their scheming parents that caused their rift. And I hope that John can still link with Rodney and Jeannie. Kolya's going to be in so much trouble when John catches him! Laura.
Excellent ending- Kolya beaten again, John and Rodney snarking, Elizabeth and her possible blackmail-worthy picture and Rodney and Jeannie connected again. As a certain Doctor would say: Fantastic! Laura.
Summary: If he could just make the perfect chain, then everything would be alright, everything would be like it was.

I love the interaction between John and Rodney, especially the attraction that they both feel- even if John is trying to fight it at the moment. I really don't think Kate's going about things the right way, making Rodney upset that John's going to be kept from him, just like his paper chains were before >(. I felt for him when I saw how much seeing Zelenka work upsets him and that he thought John was punishing him, I also thought about how upset John would be to find that out. The dreams of Kolya just add to the general unpleasantness of Rodney's current world :(. I find myself trying to imagine what it would be like to know that something happened to make you 'stupid'...it must be terrible for him to know he was a genius before. I hope John finds the answers he needs and then returns to Rodney quickly. Laura.
I'm glad John seems to be ok, and I hope he found something to help Rodney. Poor Rodney, though, all that time sneaking in to see John, you'd think Carson would understand his need to see him, but he pushed him away and then everyone else crowded in. I'm glad John saw him, even if it was just his retreating back. Lets hope John is released quickly and gets to see Rodney soon. Laura.
McKay has a tattoo. Sheppard wants to know where he got it.

I think Rodney should hold out a little more...see just how much John's willing to do to get an answer ::leers:: *g*. Laura.
These are a bunch drabble people have requested. Each chapter is a new request.
what you want to happen: Make one of them high on something
word or phrase you would like one of the characters to say "Just give me what I want, and no one gets hurt"
rating: hit me hard

Gah! You can't leave it like that. We *need* to know what's causing it, and it's only fair that Rodney should get a little payback from John and Carson by having to llok after them :). I loved how he ran rings round Carson and John, and their quick shout for the women to deal with the problem. It was nice to see Bates, Stackhouse and even Kavanagh joining in on the Rodney entertaining front too. Laura.
Chapter 6: starry113's request
Oh ::fans self:: and nothing even actually happened! I loved that John can face down hoards of Wraith or Genii, but he had to hide behind Carson in the face of Rodney's stare *vbg*. I wonder what Rodney's revenge will be? ;). Laura.
Oh, excellent installment. So very hot ::fans self::. I loved how Rodney tricked John into confessing his feelings, and poor confused John *g*. It was funny watching them both being speechless for once, and funnier still that Rodney recovered first and had to threaten to forget about it to get John's brain working again *hee*. Laura.
Hee. Don't quite know how I missed this 'til now, but...OMG that was hot. I need to see more of this treatment method Carson's got going for John and Rodney :). Laura.
Chapter 7: severusslave's request
Very hot. All round hotness, what with all the various people watching, especially Bates and Ford, who got to watch everyone! I was amused by Ford's fascination and Bates' education of him, and the McShep was so very hot *g*. Laura.
