I have to admit that while I liked the story I am disappointed with the ending. There are so many places you could have gone with his deeper connection to Atlantis. And what about that hall we never got back to? And not catching the guys who were beating and trying to kill people? that is stupid. I find it hard to believe a city that advanced wouldn't have some kind of surveillance.

Author's Response: The ending was never meant to tie everything up. I know in a lot of fics that happens, but it was never going to happen with this one. Sorry you were disappointed with it. While I wish I could have addressed all the issues you brought up, this fic was getting ridiculously long and kind of time consuming. To address a couple of your points--not catching the bad guys: there were suspicions, but no hard evidence. People brought to Atlantis would have to be the best, the smartest, the most adaptable. I feel that extends even to the military members--they would be smart enough to evade surveillance equipment and John had his suspicions and shipped them home. This was an issue that I wanted to reflect real life. I know people who\'ve been harassed and hurt because of personal beliefs or their sexuality. Their harassers weren\'t caught and often times they aren\'t. The hall: Something I was planning to address further in the sequel, and honestly yes, further in this story. But I began to lose interest and got a bit busy. Sorry if these all seem like excuses, but they\'re the only explanations I have. Again, I\'m sorry you were disappointed in the ending. If I could offer you some kind of refund, I would, but all I can do is apologize. - Ace
