Just, wow.

I am quite frankly surprised at how much I absolutely loved this story. The characters were different, but still so them, and oh my god, geek/mathematician!John = love. Team Misfit was just so perfect, the way that John and Rodney and Carson can't always be the best/rulers of Atlantis, and although I missed Ronon and Teyla terribly, I loved actually seeing more of Cadman, because I was so upset that they didn't have more of her in the show.

Also, I must confess to a terribly, irrevocable crush on this universe's Rodney, because guh. My brain used to work, but not anymore. Seriously, I loved seeing Rodney as not the scared scientist and actually being all firm and in control, yet still struggling with himself. God, all that competence is so hot....

I honestly would probably roll over and beg for more of the universe, but if not, well...I'll be over there, in the corner, drooling over the possibilities.
Chapter 1: Full Story

Summary: John had stopped thinking of Mer'deth as a parasite long ago, but at some point he'd also stopped thinking of him as a passenger. Somewhere along the way, Mer'deth had become the other half of John's soul.

Please note there is a sort of Major Character Death Warning.

Wow :D That was awesome. AU, but still, like, fitting. And I just KNEW that somewhere along the line, they were going to end up sharing Mer'deth once I saw that Rodney was alive too. Great plot twist by the way bringing Rodney back.

A fantastic mix of humor and angst, which tends to be very difficult to pull off, but you did an amazing job. I love this story.

'I am Mer'deth! the little Goa'uld crowed in Rodney's head. Bow to me! I am your GOD.

In his memory, Rodney scoffed. "Nice try, squirt. In case you hadn't noticed, I don't bow to any God, least of all one that looks like a legless naked mole-rat."

Oh, Mer'deth said, sounding embarrassed. But that's what we're supposed to say! It's in my genetic memory.'

That, right there, is made of epic win. I can totally see how Mer became like Rodney, simply because of the way Rodney was, for all intents and purposes, the first person he'd ever shared any kind of relationship with except for the Jaffa who communicated with him during Kelno'reem. And with John, I can see them having an easy relationship (after John gets over the whole Goa'uld-in-my-head-God-that's-weird) because Mer'deth and Rodney are so similar and he already loved them, he just didn't know it, and Mer, or course, already loved John.

Just simply awesome :D
Chapter 1: One of One

Summary: Jack finds out who Jehan really is. Sequel to Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves and Killdeer.

Wow. :D I was not expecting a sequel to Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves, so when I saw this on the recent stories page, I near about squealed with glee. Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves was a totally amazing story, by the way, since I'm not sure if I actually reviewed that one, as it might have been before I had an account here on wraithbait.

However, can I just say this story was AWESOME? It was a lot shorter than the first story, but still just as great. It had the humor, (Thor defecting? Seriously? I think he'd walk naked in front of the IOA first--wait, didn't he already do that?) but still with the drama and angst that I loved the original for. And I really, really love Vala in this series, even though she was only in a small part of this story. Her character is developed so well, and I regret that she wasn't in more of SG-1, because I think she was just great all around.

Another thing; Jack's guilt about the whole thing with John? Just pure genius, and so realistic, too. The way he doesn't say sorry because he knows how that would just suck, and how he KNOWS what John went through to an extent from what happened when he was captured by Ba'al, and how Jack knew the names of the two people taken from the SGC before the second mission to Abydos, even though he's already admitted to himself that he didn't really think much on the Sgt. and John after Teal'c said that they were dead.

And, to be honest, I find myself happy that Jack regrets the way he treated McKay, and the rest of the scientists too, because I think that Rodney should be appreciated more all around, but it's nice for Jack to realize that too.

So thanks once again for the great story, and I hope to see more stories from you sometime soon.

For some reason my review keeps getting cut off, but anyway:

Wow. Well, that was fantastic.

I really, really, really loved the part where Rodney, Radek and Miko totally weren't fooled, and John was just so upset at lying to Rodney; that just added to the emotions. And the entire thing was just....really, really amazing.

Also, Jack was 'not helping'!!! b29; And Daniel thought it was the right thing to do. That just... That just means a lot to me, especially the part where Jack knew that Ronon wasn't dumb and was like 'well, duh. I knew what he was doing.' And the
"But Sheppard's half-crazy with PTSD," cried Carter. "For heaven's sake, he said the city sang to him."

"Well that part," Jack glanced at the little ancient gadget on his desk top that nobody else could hear humming and thought of Atlantis sunk beneath the waves, "That part I've always believed."

Just, perfect. Because, yeah, Jack's gene should be nearly as strong as John's, if not as strong or stronger. And him and Daniel, yes, they know that home isn't necessarily Earth just because that's where you grew up/used to live.

And Rodney!!! *heart* My favorite character, my lovable Rodney!!! The way he wanted to tell John to go to the SGC, but couldn't because he *knew* that John wouldn't be able to handle it, but would do it anyway, and the way that he's doing everything he can to get John home, without even knowing what Atlantis is like, it's just. Perfect.

And oh!! Smart!Ronon!!!! My life is complete!! See! See! He's not stupid, it's just that Earth's science/technology is *different* and he doesn't understand it! I love that, I really really loved that part, and the little moment of bonding between him and Rodney there, that was just amazing.

And John, so eager to get home, but he's so totally taking Rodney with him because hell yeah, he ain't leaving no man behind, especially not his scientist! Or his scientist's cat. *squeeh* Does the cat even have a name...?

Really, really loved the story. I would totally kill for more, and this just begs for another story where they make it to Pegasus and raise Atlantis.

Oh thank you. There is seriously not enough Rodney/Ronon friendship out there. :D This story was short enough that it didn't drag on, but there was enough hurt/comfort and friendship to satisfy me. Plus, McShep!!! Thanks so much, it was a great story!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I had a great time writing the fic, so I\'m glad to know you liked it!
