I used to write exclusively in the Farscape fandom but after Ben Browder joined the cast of SG-1 I eventually gravitated toward writing fanfic for SG-1 as well; mostly writing Cameron Mitchell. I've recently began writing SGA because it's hard to resist the power of Sheppard but that'll probably be primarily crossover with SG-1 - but you never know! :D

I've been enjoying this story but this chapter (#4) is pure fucking genius. I just had to stop long enough to tell you that before rushing off to the next one.

Screw what Outcast said about John's family... *This* is his family to me. This entire story is simply amazing and gorgeous even as the boys deal with the pain of their mission.

I would love to see more of this 'verse because it just hits every note perfectly.

Oh wow! I never would have thought Rodney/Telya could be so hot, but then add in Sheppard watching them... total mind melt.

I'd personally love to see more to this, especially the aftermath to them being together and Sheppard watching them.

I love the heck out of this. Probably like anyone who has read this I was trying to figure out what was being done to Rodney and then to find out he'd actually dreamt of his future family was so cool.

Still one of my favorites. This time my re-read was because someone recc'd it on sgagenrefinders. I know you've said that you intended this as a one shot but I hope that one day you'll at least show us Jeannie and her family visiting Rodney and John. You know she'd want to check on them.

Chapter 1: In This Era of Liberty
You Might by deltacephei [NC-17]
[ - ]

Summary: Starting from a missing scene from The Daedalus Variations this goes AU:
Rodney pored over the files he'd printed out. With every page he turned, this trip felt less and less like a sensible idea. Rodney had no trouble imagining the response he would get when he walked up to Sheppard, a millionaire, and suggested, 'Hey, how about you drop everything, leave your business and your huge mansion, and come with us to another galaxy, where you're probably going to die within a month or two? Are you in?"

Chapter 2: Part 2

Summary: Sheppard/OMC Connor Davids is a shy, quiet scientist who keeps to himself but over time finds he's lonely. John Sheppard is the man everyone wants and everyone wants to be except all he wants is quiet understanding. Can he get that from the new Dr. Davids? Can they both overcome gender to be with each other?

This story is now complete.

Wonderful story, I honestly couldn't stop once I began. I'm so damn glad I decided to check it out. It was well worth the time, tears and smiles. And believe made me smile.

Though there was one thing I had hoped to see in the story (Connor having to physically save John on a mission that was similar to one of his nightmares), wasn't essential but I honestly would have loved this story to go on longer. You've created some awesome OCs and brought them to life. Thank you for writing this story.

Author's Response: Thank you! I\'m so glad you liked it. =) And yay for making you smile. I wish it were as easy to make everyone smile. People really need to smile more. And darn, if you had suggested that while I was writing, I probably could have fit that in. =) I\'m always open to suggestions. Maybe in the sequel. =) =) Thanks for reading. Cheers, Ace p.s. Thanks for the Farscape recs. I have soooo much to read now. Lol.
Chapter 53: Never Think
Born on a Morning by Leah [PG-13]

I lost track of how many times this entire series has made me both cry and cheer the characters on. You've done such an awesome job with all of the stories that I'm actually sad to see that they're at an end. But what a great ending with Cam joining his brother again on John's birthday.

With the last two I was very pleased with how you took the familiar SX7 and SX8 and remade them to reflect that horrible reality they came from. I could see pieces of our guys in them but it was twisted from their fear and I just hurt so badly for them.

In a way, I wish we could see Jeannie in that reality receiving Cordy's message and how she got past Lt. Col. Lorne in order to send Seven to Cordy as a last ditch effort to save him.

Thanks again for a wonderful series.

I am so damn glad I found this story again. It had been long enough since I'd first read it that I had no idea how it was going to really end and it was breaking my heart into little pieces.

You really did a beautiful job of telling us about their love, hope, faith and determination in each other. Personally, I would love a sequel or small coda because after John is brought back to life on paper I can see them both retiring to that little cabin Cam wanted for them both.

Author's Response: Thank you! I\'m so glad it worked for you! \r\n\r\nI\'ll think on the coda. Or a sequel, because it seems like there would be a lot involved in adjusting to being alive again. I\'d really like to see them get a happy ending.
Chapter 1: Chapter 1
[ - ]

Summary: Sequel to Neverland--*Mild SLASH* Sheppard/Mitchell.

Having his mom here was different than having John's parents for a visit. For one thing Cam's mom had no idea about any of John's past. She didn't understand why John was so quiet, so contained, so dedicated to Cam and Rodney and Daniel. She didn't understand why John did their laundry and vacuumed their rooms and cooked their meals. Cam was pretty sure his mom thought John was some kind of glorified housewife to all three of them.

Once I started this series, I couldn't stop. I absolutely *love* it. I really hope that you'll be doing more. While I know that John will never be completely healed, I'd love to see how or if he's ever able to let Cam consummate their marriage all the way. You've really done an amazing job of writing their relationship and friendships.

Author's Response: I\'m so glad you love it. =) There will be more, it\'s in progress right now. You know, I haven\'t decided one way or the other on if John and Cam will ever consummate their marriage. Sometimes I think I\'ve picked one, and then the next day it changes. Thank you so much. Cheers, Ace
Chapter 1: Words

Summary: Waking up with John still sleeping soundly in his arms, holding on to Cam, was what Cam was most thankful for this Thanksgiving. It wasn't often that he woke up before John, Cam could count the number of times it had happened on one hand. So he stayed very still, and kept his breathing slow and even, so he didn't wake his husband up.

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for finally being able to give us this part. I still don't know what it is about this series that hits the right spots but this new part continued to knock me over. When Cam broke down in the shower and then realized John was in the bathroom with him I pretty much held my breath worried at John's reaction, at what Cam would reveal about his reasons for crying and then John's reaction to *that*. What I wasn't expecting was Cam actually shouting and I should have because of how he was emotionally fragile at that moment. And my response to how John might take it: 'oh crap, oh crap, oh crap'!

The friendship between all four men is an amazing thing and you really nailed it how each one is there for the other, at how each man continues where the other leaves off, and it bleeds over to their other relationships effortlessly.

I hate that Cam's parents continue to let themselves be blind to the truth in Cam and John's relationship and refuse to see how they're the ones that are making Cam unhappy. But at least we get to see Wendy finally (HOPEFULLY) get some understanding into who John is and what he's overcome in the past in order to become the man that Cam loves.

Other than the final scene (which was simply beautiful), my very favorite scene in the story (and there are actually a great many scenes I love in this) was in the resturant and how John stood up without a word to help the woman at the bar. I know that he's always tried to defend others but this scene was a fine example of who John is at his core. And it is also shows us, along with Cam and his parents, just how much strength he has inside to be able to face down one of his past horrors. I honestly don't think he could have confronted that aggressive drunk the way he did, at least not while in his John Mason persona, before he'd let Cam into his life. Not to say that he'd just let the other man hurt that woman, just that I don't think he could have taken the initiative the way he did at this point. Which feels weird to think in regards to John but given his responses and how he was *conditioned* to that type of behavior in the past, it feels right.

If you continue on with the series (to which I'd get down on my knees and beg for more if I could), do you see them eventually leading to the Atlantis expedition? And if so, will you have John, Cam and Rodney (and hopefully Daniel) go? Because it'd be interesting to see how John continues to grow and gain strength as he faces things in Pegasus. Plus, given how much he's also a scientist in this series I could see him falling more in love with Atlantis than we know he does in Canon. And ooo...the way he copes with math (and how freaking *awesome* was Rodney's description of John's mind and mathmatics?!!) would be kickass to see when he meets the city. And whether or not that she's sentient would be great to see as well. By that I mean, if she is it'd be cool to see her 'take him in' as if she were her child (well, if a city could *have* kids) and how that would either help or hinder his emotional recovery. Not I ever expect him to be healed completely, because I honestly can't see that he'd be that whole given how badly he's hurt his entire life. I agreed with you when you'd mentioned that something similar in a respose to (my?) comment in a previous part.

Sorry for going on for so long but I just wanted to get these thoughts out to you on the story. I have a tendency to sometimes babble with my feedback when I have more than just 'ooo...pretty' to say ;) and also have a bad habit of throwing out possible storylines because my mouth (in this case fingers) like to run off ahead of my brain. So I apologize for being a total dork. *blush*

Thank you again for this newest part, I'd really been looking forward to it and the result was worth the wait.

Author's Response: Hey, wow! You\'re very welcome. =) Sorry it took so long. I love that shower scene. And probably not for the reason most people love shower scenes, lol. So I\'m glad it was able to draw you i a bit. =) And I\'m glad you like their friendship, it\'s great to write that. Cam\'s parents are actually sorta based off some family members of a friend of mine. (lol, the whole write what you know, thing.) But I couldn\'t leave Wendy out there to dry forever, I had to get her on the clue bus somehow. =) I\'m so glad you enjoyed the restaurant scene. That was actually inspired by a reader who sorta requested that John be all John Sheppard in front of Cam\'s mom, for once. And you\'re definitely right, before Cam, I\'m not so sure he would have done that, he was much of solitary. I\'m definitely continuing with this story, with at least two more parts. But I\'m sorry to say that I don\'t really see them going to Atlantis. Which isn\'t to say that it\'s out of the realm of possibility, but as things stand right now, I can\'t see it. John would be separated from his parents, and I\'m not sure he\'d ever be able to do that or get over it. And no apologies necessary. I have a wallet, from my mom, that says DORK right on it, in huge lettering. Haha. Thanks for leaving a note, it was awesome. And thank you for reading. =) Cheers, Ace
