Let's see, what can I tell you about myself. I'm 33 and live in Pittsburgh. I'm a primary care doc by training, a psychiatrist by inclination, and I do research in both. Dr. Dredd was a nickname given to me during medical school. I'm not sure if it was meant to be complimentary, but I use it with pride anyway!
If it's not already obvious,I've liked the doctor characters on the sci-fi shows, from Leonard McCoy in the first Star Trek to Julian Bashir in DS9 to Janet Frasier in SG-1. And last but definitely not least, Carson Beckett. I try to write stories where I can get into the characters' heads. This often leads to both physical and psychological whumping. All in a good cause.
I love dogs. All shapes and all sizes, and I'm especially a sucker for puppies. I grew up with two bichon frises, and am dying to get another one now that I have my own place. Unfortunately, the landlord of the building where I live doesn't allow dogs. So I'm now looking to move! Stay tuned.
The truth is in the telling. (Future-fic)

Wow, what an incredible story. It also says quite a bit about the media today and what they do to give people what they want. At least it's only the actual truth that will suffer, and not the characters themselves.
Author's Response: Thank you. Yes, I imagine at this point, the Atlantis team couldn't care less how they were portrayed in the media.
John tries to find out who's playing in Super bowl XL

Errr, sorry about this but.... GO STEELERS!!! :-) I thought that Rodney's complete cluelessness was rather cute.
The night before departure from Earth back to Atlantis, the gang celebrates with a meal. Sort of a missing scene from "Intruder."

Hmmm... When I was about to bang my head against the wall I went for the Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. But I can definitely see the allure of the Oreos, too. Lovely fic!

Why, thank you! I liked the phrase "forced John's metaphysical hand." It's quite appropriate. :-)
A series that focuses on team bonding set during Season One, looking at how everyone met, and how they went from strangers to a team to friends.
Updated: 04 Feb 2006; Published: 04 Feb 2006
Does this mean you're gonna update this? (nudge, nudge) ;-)
Author's Response: I'm workin' on it... gosh! ;) New bunnies keep biting me when I least expect it...
Five Season 2 episodes and the kisses that happened when they were over.
Updated: 11 Feb 2006; Published: 11 Feb 2006
It's a good thing John came up with that compliment, too. Otherwise I think Carson would have smacked him again... ;-)
Author's Response: Let's just say John's bed might be a bit bigger than he remembered it being. ;)
Thanks for the feedback.
Chapter 1: Post-Duet Kiss
Whale-bait! I like that. (John should tell Radek.) The relationship you've written between John and Carson is so well done.
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I really wish more people would embrace this pairing. There's so much potential here. As for John telling Radek... I have a whole John and Radek (not John/Radek) story I need to write for after "Grace Under Pressure". One of these days I'll get it out of my head and into print. :)
Chapter 3: Post-Grace Under Pressure Kiss
McKay and Sheppard are stranded during an away mission. John keeps Rodney alert after a head injury with some not so idle banter.

This was wonderful. I think I reviewed it over on ff.net, but it's worth saying again!
Chapter 1: Chapter 1 of 1
What do you get when you put an ancient device, annoying Major and distracted Scientist together?
Updated: 27 Sep 2006; Published: 22 Feb 2006
Carson's really going to be pissed at John now! Wouldn't want to be in his shoes...
Author's Response: Especially when he finds out where John was hiding...You wouldn't want to be in them and niether would Rodney but you'll see that he doesn't have much choice.....Rosalie
Heh. I see the choice of words in my last review was prophetic. ;-) But does Rodney really think Carson won't notice?
Author's Response: Hehe yeah. Just wait till the next two parts, that's when things really start going haywire.
Smallish drabble for my sick beloved Mice. Carson cares for Rodney after a whumptastic mission...
WARNING: Rated for Rodney cursing a little.

Very sweet story. Rodney blushing after getting busted was so cute! He and Carson give each other such a hard time that it's fun to watch them when they finally let down their guards.
Author's Response: Thanks hon. Glad you liked it! And yeah, they are disgustingly cute together, aren't they? ;)
Rodney sticks it out for as long as he can after saving Atlantis from a killer storm and Kolya of the Genii. And Sheppard finally recognizes the superhero in front of him. A tag for the season one episode The Eye.
Updated: 28 Feb 2006; Published: 28 Feb 2006
Very nice tag to the episode. Everyone behaved like you'd expect them to. Rodney and Carson with the snark, John with the concern hidden behind the casual exterior. And you know there had to be a follow-up to the "superman" comment from earlier in the episode.
Chapter 1: Chapter 1 of 1
In 2016, John Sheppard watched Atlantis sink beneath the ocean forever. He planned on preventing that from happening, at any cost.

I'm definitely enjoying this. Direct interface with the city is neat, and the ailment slowly killing them (or in Rodney's case, not so slowly) is an interesting idea. Poor John, though. He must be totally freaked. Both of them, actually.
Author's Response: Rodney died slow, just not as slow as John. In the words of Doctor Who, I'll explain later. And yes, both Johns are freaked and it is going to get worse. Thanks for reading!
Chapter 1: If I gave you the truth would it keep you alive?
Rodney finds himself in a strange new world, the result of events not even he could control. The Atlanteans find themselves without a scientist and they want him back, but first he must survive the darkest days of time past.
Updated: 08 Oct 2007; Published: 15 Mar 2006
Unfortunately, the scenario sounded all too familiar. Very intense beginning.
Author's Response: I'm guessing you're quite familiar with that section of history then? The beginning is very intense and - I keep wanting to give details or hints of things to come but can't because I don't want to ruin the story. So pardon my slight ramble, and thank you for taking the time to read my little creation.
p.s. Your "Memoranda from the Edge" slays me every time, those wacky Atlanteans!
For the rest of his life, John would remember Rodney McKay in that damned Klingon outfit. (For Amezri, who wanted "John and Rodney visit a sci-fi convention".)
Updated: 16 Mar 2006; Published: 16 Mar 2006
That's AWESOME! Loved Rodney's diatribe about the peace convention. And "Jeff the Barbarian" was cute, too. :-)
Author's Response: Hee! glad you had fun!
Ronon Dex could be so much more than a professional fugitive if he gave it some thought.
Updated: 20 Mar 2006; Published: 20 Mar 2006
Really nice story. I think it's become hard for any of us to imagine what Ronon might do if he wasn't a soldier. (Can you imagine the guy working for Beckett?)
What does the title mean?
Author's Response: The title is latin, the imperfect and present tenses for "he runs".
And as for Ronon's career choices... exactly. It's very hard to imagine.

Ah, the superpowered hair. Able to leap tall buildings and all that, but unable to save John from turning into a bug. Lovely, sad story.
McKay finds himself trapped in an alternate reality, where his alternate self is dead. Can he commit to feelings for Weir he never even knew he had?
Updated: 11 Apr 2006; Published: 26 Mar 2006
Ah, remote controls. Mine changes the channels on the TV. Perhaps Rodney's changes dimensions through the gate. Good story! :-)
Author's Response: Mine controls a giant robot. :) But Rodney's? You'll see. Thanks for reviewing!
John stared at the two scientists in front of him. Two McKays; one nice and one normal.

"Making best buddies with your hand does not count as getting laid"
HAHAHA!!!! That's awesome. As was "playing diplomats and delegates with Elizabeth". :-)
Author's Response: Thanks for the fb! In the end, think even we realised there's no such thing as a *nice* Rodney, just one with a slightly lower score on the SCS (Sarky Comeback Scale). ;)
No one should ever discourage a child from something safe that gives him joy. At a village celebration, Rodney Mckay finds something he thought he'd lost forever.

Lovely story, with great attention to details. Everything from Ronon glaring at Teyla's dance partners to the concern in John's eyes.
Author's Response: I appreciate the notice of details! :) Glad they worked to create a coherent piece. Many thanks...
