Yay! Awesome and very funny. Well done.
The collision was a deafeningly quiet echo as they, bodies held on pause, searched for permission or the flames of crashing and burning careers in each other's eyes.

Wow! So hot! I loved it. Well-written and beautifully-described. I'm not usually a fan of this pairing, but you may have made a convert. :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much!! So cool, that you enjoyed it. I do so love description in my writing and it\'s a buzz when readers get something from it too.\r\nHee! That\'s fantastic! *bounces happily* a new fan :) If you\'re into longer fics you might enjoy two more John/Cam fics I\'ve written; \"Alive\", it\'s about 8K (NC-17) and \"Knowing\", 4500 words (R). Rodney checks in with Mr. Woolsey, Ronon, and John individually, following his ordeal with the Second Childhood, and his return from the Shrine of Talus.

Wow! Fantastic story. You hit all your marks, and then some. The friendship, the closeness - the characterizations. Heck, I even teared up when Woolsey was remembering his father, and his wish for one more day. You struck all the right chords.
What made me saddest was that you mentioned in your story notes was that you haven't written fanfic in years. The community is poorer because of it. I'd LOVE to see more of your work. :)
One can't go back to Earth and the other has nothing to go back for...

I don't remember if I commented on this fic on AO3, but it's really well-done. Very enjoyable and wonderfully-characterized all around. I love bug!John anyway, and this pairing (John and Jeannie) is so sweet, and works so well, I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often.
