Um, hello. *waves*
I'm a woman (*snort* DUH); am over 30 (so you can't trust me *snicker*); married and am a mom; work as a professional picture framer at an art restoration shop in the Washington DC area; worship at the altar of Heinlein, Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, Stephen King, Spider Robinson, Piers Anthony, Christopher Stasheff, Marion Zimmer Bradley as well as Ursula Le Guinn and other awesome literary gods. *BG*

An example of how weird I am? I love to read psychology and psychiatry medical research papers on ADHD and emotional disorders... FOR FUN. Okay, okay, for personal edification as well, but still... *snicker* I haven't had much time to read my journals lately though, as the writing bug has firmly latched onto my jugular (like a certain pesky Iratus bug we dare not mention around Sheppard *snort*), and is not allowing me any other avenues of self-expression at the moment. *sobs* My poor PhotoShop is feeling SO neglected!

As for other entertainment, I can only say that my early development was heavily influenced by Looney Tunes and Monty Python's Flying Circus. And Douglas Adams. You ever listen to the Hitchhiker's Guide radio series? Bloody friggin' brilliant, m'dears.

Fell in love with SGA even before I'd ever once watched an episode of SG1, would you believe? Anywho, I'm not a proliferate writer by any stretch of the imagination, although the stories I do write end up being pretty long. I'm an avid reader of all kinds of stories... het, slash and gen... and am unabashedly a whumpaholic. *BEG* Especially when it concerns Rodney McKay. What can I say? I'm hopelessly addicted to the man. ;) And as much as I love reading slash, I am unfortunately way too scared to ever write it. Sorry folks. I tend to limit myself to staying within the general parameters dictated in the show. Hey, I wanna be a scriptwriter someday! Maybe. If I don't suck grandly at it. *BG*

Oh, and PS - if you check out the people I've on my favorite authors list, you won't be disappointed. I chose them because I love every single story they've ever written. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. Go. Read. They're brilliant. :)

Oy. Frickin. Vey. They really should've just kept Radek at the Alpha site and evacuated it of all nonessential personnel... but then again, hindsight IS 20/20, hm? Things gotta be looking up SOMEtime, eh? And damn I surehope John's not gonna die in his little mental bubble universe... ----}-@ Krys

Author's Response: Thanks for your continued reviews. Things are going to start looking up for the guys on Atlantis soon. The next update is going to be along later today.

Oh jeeze, things just keep getting freakier and freakier! GAH! *runs headfirst into wall* ----}-@ Krys, hoping that this is all just a really bad dream

Author's Response: Well, it's not going to get much worse than this. From now on, it's only going to get better. This is dark!fic, not death!fic, after all. Rodney and Carson won't rest until they have John and Radek back safe and sound.

Hoo boy, now where the hell is John?! And Rodney must be in chock still, hm? So not good that he's not reacting in any way emotionally. More soon? ----}-@ Krys

Author's Response: Poor Rodney! But he isn't going to give up that easily. I'm working on the next chapter. It will probably be up sometime tomorrw.

Oy, and into the breach, dearest Rodney. Aie yai yai yai yai. And poor Radek, left twisting in the wind, so to speak. But methinks John needs the help more at the moment. And Elizabeth collapsing from exhaustion? man, everyone needs a friggin vacation. Seriously. ----}-@ Krys

Author's Response: Thanks for the reviews! They really had a week from hell! But at least John is getting help soon.

Oy frickin vey. I wanna say "What more could go wrong?", but I won't cause I have a feeling that we haven't hit all the road bumps yet. AIE. Wonder if they're somewhere on the Mainland? ----}-@ Krys

Author's Response: You''re dead on about them not having hit all the road bumps yet;) Not bad guess about the Mainlad.

Yeah, I mean... AIE. Now Rodney's whumped but good, and we can only hope the shrapnel didn't have any nasty chemicals coating the pieces that pierced Rodney's skin. And poor John. I hope he's more lucid, and how the hell did he manage to get himself into a stasis pod, I wonder? More soon? ----}-@ Krys

Author's Response: Nasty chemicals? Not even I thought of something that mean;) The guys are going to get better in the next couple of chapters and things will start coming together. I'm working on the next update as fast as I can.

Wow, whump city. Makes this whumpaholic proud. ;) Looking forward to seeing if there's anything they can find at the outpost that'll help them with the oncoming Wraith. ----}-@ Krys

What about an EMP to disable the mechanism in Radek's brain? Or some sort of localized electrical jolt to fry the fricking thing? I'm thinking about when the Replicators were infesting the Asgard's home system, and Carter had helped them think up a low-tech solution for defeating them. Eagerly awaiting the next chapter. Wonder how John's really doing? ----}-@ Krys

Wow. Everyone on the flagship team's seriously screwed up, and it looks like they'll never be able to go on missions any more. Might even get sent back to Earth. Yikes. I so don't like that idea. What else do you have up that sneaky sleeve for our favorite people? And I hope you're feeling better soon, hon. I had carpal tunnel surgery 9 years ago, and sometimes when my tendonitis flares up I still get the shakes really bad. Never did regain a steady hand after the surgery, either, and I can't draw as well as I used to. ----}-@ Krys

Author's Response: Thanks for the feedback! The story isn't over yet. I still have a few ideas;)

Wow, honey, you really screwed our guys-n-gals up something fierce. And tey've got to heal on the fly, so to speak. Well, basically Rodney does. Yeah, Teyla, Ford and John are needed in their own ways, but unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) Rodney's genius is sorely needed in trying to find a way to protect the city against the Wraith. Hope you're feeling better, and I look forward to the next chapter! ----}-@ Krys

Author's Response: Thanks for the feedback and the well-wishes! I did catch with the writing in the last few days. Rodney will figure out something to help them!

Good. Glad Rodney thought of that, even if it means that John and maybe even Rodney might be stranded on Earth for awhile. Although, I highly doubt Rodney'd be willing to go back to Earth what with the Wraith coming and all... So glad that you're able to continue this, hon. Looking forward to more! ----}-@
