Summary: The first time John Sheppard allowed himself to show anyone what he truly was, he was in the Pegasus galaxy, and he had just shot his commanding officer to keep him from getting his life sucked out by a Wraith. (Repost.)

I can't believe it took Rodney so long to get with the program -- come on, he's all over John's horsey body, touching his shoulder and putting his hand under his shirt? DUH, RODNEY -- but it brought in some nice angst as John pined and tried not to be too disappointed that Rodney wasn't into centaurs.

Good tension at the end, too, where Rodney is taking forever to recount what happened to John; I was worried John got so hurt he wouldn't be able to change any more!

Summary: John has no idea how the prisoners choose the song. He just knows that if he can recognize it, it's been a good day; if he can't, it hasn't.

I love that Rodney taught his alien workcrew children's songs in order to reassure John. John's pov really made this all the more angsty, with his limited view and the way he saw the things Rodney was giving away in order to keep him safe.

Summary: "I don't know if this matters, but wherever he's from, they had no intention of making him human."

What a happy ending for Roy! I never dreamed he'd get Seven back.

This is another great installment in this universe; plus the focus on Lorne made me go reread "Muscle and Blood and Skin and Bones" because I just loved him with those baby robots.

Summary: "I created that virus, Sheppard! Just like I reprogrammed the incubator! And both times I fucked up beyond all redemption and other people suffered for it! Are suffering for it! And I can't fix it. I don't know how. I can't."

Man, John Sheppard cannot catch a break in any universe! I liked the suggestion that John couldn't forgive Lindsey's fuck-ups because it's so hard for John to forgive himself. It's easier to forgive other people, like Roy.

And, YAY, Cam gets to come to Atlantis! I hope we get to see that. Thanks for sharing more from this wonderful universe.

Summary: "What if he never remembers? What if he's forgotten he's a person and he never gets it back?"

I really enjoyed this, and, for the record, I would be happy to read more stories in this universe. ;)

I like the emotions in this, and the way John chooses to show Rodney that he belongs to John. Yum.

Summary: "You wouldn't know 'okay' if it came running at you with a pitchfork." Rodney smacked his hand against John's forehead and left it there through John's growling dissent. "First of all, your lungs sound like a carburetor. And second, I'm surprised you haven't burst into flames."

So sweet! I love Rodney teasing John about needing to rest up in case they encounter an Army Ranger or an Olympic gymnast.

Summary: John had the best plans...

"One more word and this all goes away," John said. "Do you understand me?"

That is hot!
