Summary: John loves Rodney. John loves Atlantis. There is no choice.

You know that feeling you get? When the end comes and you can do nothing but bow your head against the weight of the inevitable? That's what this fic did for me. That's what that last line did. Oh, John.... I loved this, I truly did. I particularly enjoyed the passage of time and the evolution of their relationship. You describe so much so succintly, that it leaves much up to the imagination and it *works*. I love the connection that John has to Rodney through Atlantis. It makes for a balance between both of John's loves, and makes me feel all that much more how McKay's death disrupts that. Very nicely done.

I'm curious to know how Sheppard and Beckett got to that point in their relationship. I like the submission on John's side, as well as Carson's thoughts/tenderness towards the end. I would have liked to know more of John's thoughts about his position in their relationship, but your story flowed really well, *grins*, so that isn't a complaint against you. The title fits well into John's feelings of exhaustion, because, Carson is like, his relaxation, even if he can't literally *relax*. Good job. ~Av

Oh! How much do I love this? Definitely one of the better "They have sex, but they both want more, and they have issues, and could you please stay the night" stories. The passage where you mention how Rodney gets to see the different John, I was like, yeah, that's it, that's totally how it is! Good balance between the smut and the angst and the tenderness. Particularly liked when John took off all his clothes, the slow, stumbling progression of their relationship. Good job! -Avira

You know, these stories are one of my all time favorite things in this fandom. Congratulations on writing such a beautiful universe. I really liked this one. Particularly, how the writing style changed to reflect Rodney's state of mind. It made my chest hurt, and it certainly built the suspense. I was reading every sentence faster and faster until it was a jumble of ideas and directions, oh and did it ever tug at those heartstrings, because I could see McKay's confusion. The whole scene in the water tank room broke my heart. *whimper* You know its bad when Kavanaugh is helping. Oh, and I liked the increase in the number of people sharing their points of view. I always love to know what Zelenka is feeling. Favorite moments involved Ronon, him hanging from the ceiling, and trying to deflect McKay's offer. *laughs* Oh John....he tries his very best, but I have a feeling that this is going to come back and bite him on the ass. McKay is very devious, and there's physical proof! The list! *gulp* Oh, the angst! Thanks for writing this! And happy holidays.
