Summary: Rodney had been brought in to try to lower Atlantis Shipping's maintenance costs, but he was short of ideas and time. Anachronistic alternate universe. Background Elizabeth Weir/Stephen Caldwell, Elizabeth Weir/John Sheppard
Summary: Teyla fancied the butchered trees and shrubbery were external proof of her pain at yet another displacement, now that the Ancestors had reclaimed Atlantis. Spoilers through 3.11, The Return II (although nothing that couldn't have been predicted from the first part). Written for Rustler as part of the Back to Basics: Atlantis challenge.
Summary: John knew Rodney, his strengths and weaknesses and blind spots, the way he'd push past his limits while they were facing certain doom, the smug tilt of his chin when he was proved right. So John could pinpoint the reason Rodney was giving into neuroses about Rod's presence on Atlantis, could sigh and decide he really did need to meddle, just this once.
